[Hong Kong, August 23, 2024] - After a year-long wait, the Hong Kong musician XTIE has released her powerful single, "Lost in Between”.

This highly anticipated track features Finnish singer-songwriter Anniina, a connection forged during a K-pop songwriting camp in 2021. Despite pandemic restrictions, their remote collaboration blossomed into friendship and they finally met last year in Seoul and it’s a stunning display of musical fusion, bridging the sonic gap between Asia and the Nordic region. "Lost in Between" transcends borders, offering a fresh perspective on the music industry and the struggles faced by underrepresented artists. The song addresses the struggles of underrepresented communities in the music industry, particularly they face imposter syndrome.

With only 4% of music producers being women, XTIE’s perspective as a female producer is especially poignant. The song explores how insecurities can hinder success, highlighting the internal battle many face. It aims to give a voice to listeners who struggle with self-doubt and encourages them to overcome their challenges.

The music video for "Lost in Between" was shot in Seoul, featuring a highly creative process inspired by the cinematography of "DUNE2." XTIE invited her long-time collaborators to Seoul to create this visually stunning piece.

This is not XTIE’s first international collaboration. In 2023, she worked with TOMOKO IDA, the first Japanese female producer to receive a GRAMMY nomination, on the single "New Classic". XTIE hopes to unite more musicians as an Asian female creator, bringing new voices to popular culture.

This release also marks XTIE’s return to the western music scene after a year releasing her debut EP “APOLLO-23”. “After releasing the EP last year, in addition to writing new songs, I also established my own label and performed in music festivals and tours in regions such as the UK, US, Japan and Southeast Asia.”

Recently, she was invited to Limoux, a beautiful town near Toulouse in southern France, to participate in an international songwriting camp organized by the Centre National de la Musique (CNM). The camp brought together songwriters from France, Europe, and around the world. XTIE was the only Asian musician in the camp.

Most significantly, XTIE has become a voting member of the Recording Academy for the GRAMMY Awards. In early 2024, she was invited to attend the 66th GRAMMY Week in Los Angeles and has now joined the GRAMMY voting panel as a producer and songwriter. This is a major milestone in her career. XTIE shared, "I am officially a voting member of the Recording Academy GRAMMY Awards. Thank you to the secret angels who believed in me and nominated me. I am excited to be part of this community and will give 200% effort to grow with my peers and make an impact in the industry."
