Cafrii is a DJ and music producer based in Seoul, South Korea.

Cafrii made his debut on July 7, 2020, with the singles “Sunrise (feat. Paula Mendes)” and “Moonshine (feat. JOEY DJIA).”

The stage name Cafrii is derived from Khepri, the ancient Egyptian god associated with the sun, while the double “ii” at the end was inspired by the naming style of Avicii.

Cafrii (born Choi Woohan) was born in South Korea in 1994. At the age of five, he began studying piano at his mother’s encouragement, an experience that would become the foundation of his future musical career. Throughout his childhood, he pursued formal music education, participated in numerous competitions, and steadily built his musical background. He later went on to study classical composition at a university-level music program. In 2016, he enrolled in a course titled Electronic Music, which marked a turning point in his artistic direction. Through this class, he developed a strong fascination with electronic music. From that moment on, he began studying MIDI independently and explored a wide range of genres within electronica. Following this period, he met Joey Djia, the wife of Will Smith’s producer, and collaborated with her as a featured artist. With her participation, Cafrii released his debut single “Moonshine,” marking his official entry into the music scene.

In 2023, Cafrii took part in the League of Legends World Championship alongside artists such as NewJeans and ATEEZ, contributing the track “City Light.” The release reached No. 1 on the iTunes chart and ranked in the top positions across music charts in multiple Southeast Asian countries.

He arranged the comeback single “Call Me” by Koyote, one of South Korea’s most iconic and long-standing pop groups, often referred to as a “national group.” The song achieved No. 5 on the Korean music charts, marking a successful return for the group.

He was responsible for the stage music for KBS, South Korea’s major national public broadcaster, on its renowned music program Immortal Songs, specifically for the “Legend Artist: Lee Jung-hyun” episode.

The performance video on the show’s official YouTube channel surpassed 2 million views, while related Shorts content reached 4.56 million views.
